Happy frog finding

Here’s another one that I like. If you are lucky enough to live near a pond, creek or other water body, you can use this app to identify any frogs that you see and also record calls for expert ID. Available as a free app which links directly to a citizen science project, and the network of frog ID experts who will identify all species in your recording. They use that to map frog species across the country.

Start your happy frog finding here!

Upside down tomatoes

You don't even need a garden to give this a try! Hang it in a window sill, from a fence or off the verandah. Tomatoes love the sun just try to keep it out of the wind and keep the soil moist not wet!

What's our story? part 1

circle.jpgOur old people teach us that we are a story, nothing more, nothing less. When we connect with others, people, animals, country, they become part of our story and we become part of theirs. The old people say a good story is one of connections and with every connection comes obligation. - Paul Gordon (custodian Karulkiyalu country)

ABC Education has a series on Bruce Pascoe where we learn about the story of Aboriginal agriculture and technology and celebrate the ingenuity of the First Australians.

Each week a new journal will be posted of Bruce Pascoe sharing part of his and all of our collective stories. Open the website, click on Ch1 and then play the video. Thanks to ABC Education for this amazing resource!
