Food Safety and Allergen Management
Ensuring the safety of the food we provide to children is our top priority.
In compliance with national food safety regulations, we disclose the presence of common food allergens in our meals and indicate whether alternatives are available. Our Food allergen chart (PDF, 311KB) details the allergen content of each menu item prepared at the Centre.
Unless otherwise specified, our kitchen staff can modify menu items or provide suitable alternatives for children with identified allergies. We make every effort to accommodate additional food allergies, provided sufficient information is given on the Student Consent & Medical Form (PDF, 509KB).
While we take all reasonable precautions to prevent exposure to allergens, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
Special dietary requirements
Maroon Outdoor Education Centre is committed to supporting the individual dietary needs of every student where possible. We strive to accommodate cultural, religious (such as Halal), vegetarian, vegan, and allergy-related requirements by offering a diverse selection of nutritious foods at each meal.
To help us cater for your child’s dietary needs, please ensure that you:
Complete the Student Consent & Medical Form (PDF, 509KB) clearly identifying your child’s individual dietary needs and management
Discuss any identified special dietary needs with your school’s coordinator
Review the information on this page and complete a Dietary management form (PDF, 390KB) for your school's coordinator
Contact the centre for clarification if you are still unsure whether we can accommodate your child's dietary needs after following these steps.
